- Work closely with Production Supervisors, fostering collaboration and coordinating meetings to bring larger, custom, and intricate projects to life seamlessly.
- Juggle multiple drawing requests with ease while serving as a trusted resource for the team.
- Collaborate with the Detailer Supervisor to mentor and train fellow Detailers.
- Elevate and expand the possibilities of our design systems.
- Serve as the go-to resource for knowledge and assistance to the team.
Expertise
- Create detail / assembly drawings for modular, woodworking and metal fabrication based on GES detail standards.
- Create 3D/2D drawings for show setup, including elevations, plans, exploded views, space management, carpet, and electrical layouts.
- Create Design Line drawings / Control drawings for estimating & proposals.
- Specify all finishing materials on drawings.
- Work / Manage multiple projects, often with very tight deadlines.
- Maintain and Create modular CAD drafting standards and SOP practices.
- Work with Project Managers & Carpenters to discover best methods of construction.
- Train new hires, point person for modular construction & custom construction.
- Ability to self-manage the detailing requirements and engineering solutions for complex fabrication projects.
- Using AutoCAD, create workable models for CNC programs.
- Create program code for CNC cutting machines using programming software (MasterCAM).
- Attend "Put to work" meetings with Project Manager, Estimator, Crew Supervisor and Designer (as required).
- Partner with the Project Manager by owning the drawing set to ensure drawings are completed in accordance with the project timeline.
- Ability to provide innovative engineering solutions and to advise production and project management personnel on construction options and opportunities.
- Research materials and building methods to reduce cost of construction.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Basic proficiency in Autodesk, 3ds Max Studio for design color renderings.
- Familiarity with Adobe suite a plus.
- Follow GES file naming and file management procedures.
