Roles and responsibilities
- Hands and Feet Support: On-site technical assistance for hardware and software issues, physical installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
- Manage daily operations: Unassigned queue management, AD-HOC requests on user/system moves, VIP white glove support, and Tier 1/2/3 support tickets.
- Provide onsite and remote support for commonly used Windows, Mac, and phone software, and networking/WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi/remote access support.
- Support conference room and collaboration infrastructure (Webex), printers, and vendors for electrical and low voltage cabling work.
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on IT-related issues and manage office build-out projects.
- Install and configure PC equipment and associated peripherals, and perform preliminary end-user orientation.
- Perform de-installation services, including wiping hard drives, preparing IT equipment for disposal, and coordinating with recycling partners.
- Assist in wireless support, including testing and installation of Wireless Access Points, restarting servers, and monitoring network devices.
- Handle physical checks, cable tagging, and floor panel cabling verification.
- Support and troubleshoot WiFi-connected devices and handle telecom requests.
- Receive and schedule packages, attend webcasts/meetings, reset printers/scanners/multifunctional devices, and escort break-fix partners/vendors.
- Unwrap/unbox hardware and dispose of waste material properly.
Job Description
- Installations/Adds: Receive, unpack, verify order completeness, and assemble system components. Notify the Asset Management Team of any damaged equipment. Update asset management system with client-provided and licensed user applications.
- Moves: Remove IT equipment and coordinate with the client's carrier for transportation. Perform moves within the same facility using available moving equipment.
- Change: Exchange IT equipment and software for new components and install/configure them. Hand over to the user desk-side as requested. Provide de-installation services, including wiping hard drives and preparing IT equipment for disposal.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $78,000- $88,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
