Senior Desktop Support Analyst
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Support professional for a long-term, on-site role. This individual will serve as the sole on-site support person, with team members available for training and future expansion to support additional Southeast facilities. The role involves 70% support for North Carolina locations and 30% for other Southeast facilities, with potential travel or remote work.
About the role
This position requires in-person user support in a manufacturing and corporate IT environment. The ideal candidate will handle all levels of IT issues, from basic troubleshooting to project coordination, and translate site needs to the project team. While AS400 experience is not required, it is a significant plus. The company is open to mid- or senior-level candidates with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide 100% in-person user support on-site
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, server infrastructure, and hardware
- Coordinate IT projects and translate site needs to project teams
- Support basic to advanced IT issues, including printer troubleshooting and AS400 systems (preferred but not required)
- Work in a manufacturing and corporate IT environment
- Travel between two main locations as required
Requirements
- Experience with server management
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows 11, device imaging, and ticket SLAs
- Desktop support experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage all levels of IT support
Qualifications
- Computer Science degree, coding bootcamp, or business degree preferred but not required
- Coding knowledge or experience is a plus
- Senior-level experience preferred, but mid-level candidates will be considered
- Manufacturing IT environment experience is beneficial
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch), with flexibility for 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Pay
The pay range for this contract-to-hire position is $35.00–$45.00 per hour.
