Senior Designer - Womens
About the role
FAM Brands is seeking a Senior Designer to lead creative women's design initiatives for our Club Division. The role is based in Bell, CA with a transition to Beverly Hills, CA headquarters in Q3 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process across multiple product categories.
- Independently own complex projects, from ideation through to production.
- Provide creative strategy and present concepts to internal stakeholders and licensing partners.
- Mentor and oversee junior designers; provide feedback and guidance on best practices.
- Manage CAD sketches, construction details, tech packs, sourcing sheets, and BOMs.
- Ensure all tech packs and design files are accurate and production-ready.
- Guide fittings, review PP samples, and provide thoughtful feedback to tech/production.
- Maintain and organize sample racks, design files, and approval trackers in PLM.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, licensing, PD, and sales.
- Create compelling trend and market analysis reports to support sales presentations.
- Oversee market sample prep, fabric and trim boards, and showroom setup.
- Provide clear construction direction to patternmakers and sewers.
Qualifications
- 8 - 12+ years of experience in women's apparel design.
- Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, and PLM systems.
- Strong understanding of fabric, trim, and garment construction.
- Proficient in color theory, trend forecasting, and market insights.
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
- Leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor junior designers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities and timelines.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience with CAD software.
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques.
- Trend forecasting and market insights expertise.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
At FAM Brands, we offer a competitive compensation range of $100,000 USD - $110,000 USD, inclusive of benefits and participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).
