Senior Designer

About the role

Razorfish is seeking a Senior Designer with a blend of Visual Design aesthetics and Product Experience know-how to join a team working for a financial services client. This role isn't just about crafting a beautiful digital experience, it's about building with insight, solving a brief based on the data, and challenging the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial design strategy and guide high-performing work across channels and devices
• Apply passion for visual storytelling, eye for detail, and ability to work within and evolve design systems
• Shape brand evolution through smart design and strategic thinking, in close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams including Strategy, UX, Copy, and Analytics
• Create, apply, and evolve components within design systems and libraries
• Present and articulate design decisions with clarity and confidence to internal teams and client stakeholders
• Stay current on digital trends, design best practices, and emerging tools
• Contribute to a range of projects, working with creative leads and project managers to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
• Manage your time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and project goals
• Leverage and expand scalable, on-brand design systems
• Implement website accessibility standards
• Lead workstreams independently, bringing clarity, creative solutions, and openness to feedback
• Simplify complex ideas through thoughtful visual storytelling and intuitive interaction design
• Develop clear visual hierarchies and compelling visual concepts
• Prepare and package design assets for development or final delivery as needed
• Collaborate as a proactive, thoughtful team member—understanding how large interactive teams operate and participating effectively in critiques and reviews
• Support research and prepare visual presentation materials for internal or client-facing meetings

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in visual design, digital product design, or web design
• A strong portfolio of digital work that showcases your eye for layout, typography, color, interaction, and system design thinking is a MUST
• A four-year degree (preferably) in Graphic Design or Experience Design
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and ability to independently prioritize on behalf of the team
• Proven success in driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work

Skills

• Mastery in Figma, Adobe Suite, design systems, rapid prototyping and other industry-standard design tools

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
