Senior Design Technician - Substation

Projects Supported

Work closely with Substation engineers (lots of 1:1 interaction).

Senior Role: Experience

Minimum 5 years (more is better).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD tools, including: 3D modeling
• Key tasks: Substation physical design
• Scaling accurately
• Ensuring civil steel drawings match physical constraints (height, dimensions)
• Maintain Substation clearances, bus work, equipment layout
• Produce section drawings in 2D
• Take high-level scope from engineers and produce drawings
• Engineers sign off on final drawings

Skills

• AutoCAD (2D drafting and 3D modeling)
• Substation design experience
• International candidates: Canadians are acceptable; UAE/Dubai is not (standards differ)
• Desired Skills and Experience: AutoCAD 2D Drafting and 3D Modeling, Substation Physical Design, Substation Layout, Electrical Design
