Senior Design Reviewer (Sustainability)
Responsibilities
project scope development; design, construction, and post-construction technical review for both sustainability and resiliency; LEED compliance strategies; and certification documentation.
attend project and site meetings; liaise with DDC Program Unit staff, design consultants, commissioning agents, and contractors; and participate in the unit’s research and development program, which often results in codified policy change.
Requirements
- A valid New York State Registration as an Architect is required.
- Candidates must have six (6) years of full-time paid experience in architectural work, at least two (2) years of which shall have been as an administrative architect.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in sustainable design and be a LEED accredited professionals (LEED AP).
- Familiarity with public policy and an understanding of architectural design and engineering principles and practices, the NYC Building Codes, the NYC Energy Code, general construction, project management, and project delivery methodologies is a plus.
- Candidates must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
