Role Description
We're looking for a Senior Design Researcher to lead research for our Hardware business unit. This role requires a deep understanding of hardware and software contexts, strong communication skills, and proficiency in using AI tools.
Location
Preferred locations are Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. Remote candidates in Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, or Dallas are also considered.
Must Haves
- Experienced in tech environments with a proven track record of connecting insights to design outcomes
- Strong insight-driven direction with a knack for extracting critical contextual information about users, environments, and tasks
- Ai-fluent, able to use AI-assisted research tools to accelerate delivery without sacrificing rigor and quality
- A strong communicator with excellent visualization and storytelling skills
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for research and collaboration
- Background in hardware, software, consumer electronics, or hard goods with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
Nice to Haves
- An educational background in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or a related field
- Software experience with software product teams

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $112,000 - $187,000 USD. Bonuses are based on individual and company performance.
