Senior Design Innovation Engineer, AMZL Engineering Innovation
Key job responsibilities
Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the delivery station network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
Track existing and set up new metrics as required to validate vendor and team performance.
Report on performance in weekly and monthly forums with partner teams and senior leadership.
Set measurable targets that align with the overall goals of the organization.
Comprehend the technical requirements of our internal customers and become an expert in field.
Influencer: Innovative pioneer with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion.
Significant experience overseeing partner teams through good judgment, making and data.
Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end technology and vendor operations projects, working through the many obstacles along the way.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
- Experience with design & innovation and research & development
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with design-in-safety
