Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is required. Hybrid position based in Boulder, CO with one day per week on site; occasional full weeks on site (5–10 times per year) and visits to Buckley Space Force Base (5–10 times per year). Up to 25% travel expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance (or higher).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction for engineering programs, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Interface with various business functions (Legal, Contracts, Finance, and Program Controls) to ensure compliance and monitor program plans.
- Conduct people activities such as performance management, hiring, headcount management and forecasting, training and development, and employee recognition.
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Interface with facilities and limited-access-area IT to ensure teams have the resources they require.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Interface with customers, stakeholders, and subcontractors to communicate program status and technical issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks to program success.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal development and customer presentations.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills
- Required:
- Technical expertise in engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Desired:
- Familiarity with the space domain, especially OPIR.
- Earned Value Management (EVM).
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Systems Engineering process.
- Defense industry standards and regulations.
- AI/ML models.

Pay
Target salary range: USD $176,512.00/Yr. – USD $187,000.00/Yr.
