About the role

The Deputy Labor Commissioner Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs the work of the Labor Commissioner's Retaliation Complaint Investigation Unit (RCI). The incumbent is responsible for investigating retaliation complaints against employers and facilitating the development, implementation, and administration of statewide programs to advance early engagement and resolution of retaliation claims through restorative strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other programs and stakeholders to advance industry-specific early engagement and restorative strategies through a trauma-informed lens

Benefits

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month. Pay

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Regular travel may be required. The incumbent will spend the majority of the time working both remotely and at their assigned District office, with occasional travel to other offices.
