About the role

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Drive customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services, architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer.
  • Gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
  • 5+ years of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) experience
  • 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and fielding enterprise support systems from scratch — including ticketing platforms, knowledge bases, runbook libraries, escalation frameworks, and monitoring dashboards — for complex technical environments where the support model must be invented alongside the system it supports.
  • Demonstrated ability to create CDRL-quality documentation of support operations — not just writing procedures, but producing formal deliverables that describe the support architecture, staffing model, tools, and processes at a level of rigor sufficient for government evaluation and approval.
  • Experience building and curating technical knowledge bases for highly specialized systems where the support staff must understand the underlying technology (GPU compute, AI/ML workflows, Kubernetes platforms) deeply enough to triage and resolve issues — not just route tickets.
  • Track record of transitioning a support organization from planning/documentation phase into live operations — including hiring and training helpdesk staff, conducting operational readiness reviews, and managing the cutover from "we have a plan" to "we are fielding customer issues in real time."
  • Experience deploying technical SMEs and developers to work directly with customers on platform adoption — helping users onboard, optimize workflows, and achieve mission outcomes on complex infrastructure, with the ability to manage those customer relationships at the TS/SCI level.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of AWS products and services
  • Ability to design and implement complex, scalable, and secure solutions
  • Strong project management and customer relationship skills
  • Expertise in CI/CD and software development
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and provide technical guidance

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, EAP, mental health support, and more.
  • 401(k) matching
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Parental leave
