About the role
Join the NVIDIA Developer Tools team and empower engineers throughout the world developing groundbreaking products in Automotive, VR, Gaming, Deep Learning, and High Performance Computing. See your efforts in action as developers use your products to debug, profile and analyze the performance of their systems/applications. Watch with satisfaction as 3rd-party developers use the debug API that you helped develop to create custom debug tools to tackle complex customer debugging problems. Innovate as you develop the debug and performance analysis capability of future generations of NVIDIA GPUs.
Responsibilities
- Arcitect, design, and implement solutions to integrate new debugger features into existing NVIDIA developer tools products.
- Collaborate closely with research, libraries, and product teams at NVIDIA to identify debugger features that can effectively improve developer productivity and efficiency.
- Document requirements and designs, and review documents with teams throughout NVIDIA.
- Develop the compute debugger tools for GPUs running on Linux, Windows, and embedded operating systems.
- Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks in order to create realistic delivery schedules.
- Provide peer reviews to other engineers, including feedback on performance, scalability and correctness.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, programming languages, parallel computing, and system software
- Strong programming ability in C, C++, Assembly Language and scripting languages
- Excellent knowledge of computer architecture
- Ability to self-manage, communicate, and adapt in a fast paced, high demand environment with changing priorities and direction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a dynamic and distributed team
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge in GPU architectures and GPU programming
- Knowledge of CUDA programming
- Experience and/or interests in creating developer tools like debuggers and profilers
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related engineering fields

Pay
- Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
- The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.

- You will be eligible for equity and benefits.
