About the role
Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a security clearance to join their team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data engineering solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
- Ensure data quality and integrity through testing and validation
- Optimize data storage and processing for scalability and efficiency
- Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related field
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C#
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data modeling and database design
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Security clearance required
