Senior Data Scientist II - Ads Optimization

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist II - Ads Optimization to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will shape the optimization strategy behind advertising performance, with a focus on pacing, targeting, and budget allocation. You will apply experimentation, statistical modeling, and machine learning to improve ad spend efficiency and deliver actionable insights to key business partners. The work requires close collaboration with product, sales, and leadership teams to translate advertiser feedback into prioritized optimization decisions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $192,000 – $202,500 annually Responsibilities Own and drive analytics and experimentation strategy for ad pacing and targeting Design and implement intelligent pacing algorithms using control techniques Lead comprehensive experimentation across optimization systems and provide actionable insights Apply statistical modeling and machine learning to optimize ad spend distribution Present insights and strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership Act as a thought leader in Ads Optimization; mentor peers and set analytical standards Collaborate with product and sales teams to gather advertiser feedback for prioritization Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in data science or a related field, ideally within ad tech Proven expertise in ads optimization, including pacing, targeting, and budget allocation Strong foundation in product and data analysis, A/B experimentation, causal inference, and statistical modeling Experience deploying optimization systems into production and iterating in live environments Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to stakeholders Benefits Remote work flexibility under a flexible remote-work policy Highly competitive compensation and benefits packages Eligibility for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
