Senior Data Scientist, Guest & Host

The Team

You will join a collaborative team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, product managers and designers who build innovative products for Airbnb guests and hosts.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for developing a pricing guidance system for hosts, as well as methods (experimental and observational) to measure the impact of pricing feature launches.
• Responsible for building optimized products, tools, and programs that empower our hosts to thrive on our platform and our guests to easily discover and book stays that match their needs.
• Responsible for building data products, inference frameworks, and intelligence to enable the growth of our marketplace.

Your Expertise

• 5+ years of experience with BS/masters degree, 2+ years of experience with PhD.
• Experience with experimentation, causal observational analysis, and machine learning techniques.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering, and design to enable data-driven model or product development.
• Ability to prototype, build, and scale derived data assets.
• Strong coding skills in SQL and either Python or R.
• Strong oral and written communication skills - an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. • The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
• The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
