Primary Responsibilities
- Gather data from a wide variety of sources within IT units and ensure its quality and integrity
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and investigations on organizational data to discover large, high-risk, and/or high-value patterns, spot anomalies and trends, and check and validate assumptions
- Develop more complex and sophisticated models, often involving large datasets and advanced algorithms
- Create visual representations of data to communicate findings effectively and share with other Data Scientists for input and storytelling
- Develop data science projects from inception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Guide cross-functional teams in data-driven initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement and data usage, and ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Prepare reports and presentations to convey insights and recommendations
- Provide ideas to improve the efficiency of data processes and model performance
- Stay updated with the latest tools, techniques, and industry trends in data science and bring ideas to the table for how to improve the use of data and analytics
- Begin to provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to influence business decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
- Typically 5+ years of relevant quantitative and qualitative research, analytics, data science, or machine learning experience
- Experience and solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and relational databases
- Experience with data science modeling, statistics, analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven business strategy
- Experience managing and delivering complex and technical products
- Experience performing statistical analysis and applying visualization techniques
- Native-level proficiency/fluency in English
