Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data science experiments.
- Run exploratory data analyses (EDAs).
- Apply graph analytics techniques.
- Train interpretable classifiers and Graph Neural Networks.
- Handle entity resolution using tools like Senzing.
- Apply LLM-based Named Entity Recognition and relationship extraction.
- Document everything thoroughly for reproducibility.
- Ensure rigor and transparency in all models and analyses.
Requirements
- An active DHS Public Trust clearance at time of hire.
- 7+ years of applied data science experience, including graph analytics or network analysis.
- Strong production-grade Python skills, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, networkx, and at least one GNN library.
- Experience with probabilistic record linkage and entity resolution, such as Senzing, dedupe, FEBRL, Magellan, or a homegrown Fellegi-Sunter implementation.
- Comfort working without labels and interpreting models without clean ground truth.
- Statistical maturity, including knowledge of power analysis, confidence intervals, and avoiding p-hacking.
- Ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Reproducibility practices, including version control, parameterized pipelines, deterministic seeds, pinned dependencies, and READMEs.
- Published research, open-source contributions, or conference talks in relevant fields.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial data sources like LexisNexis, TransUnion, Babel Street, etc.
