Senior Data Scientist

Serif Health is a YCombinator-backed startup focused on enhancing transparency and reducing costs in the healthcare system. Our team aggregates and distributes healthcare pricing data for numerous B2B and Enterprise clients. With a strong customer base, positive NPS scores, and a top-tier financial position, we're seeking talented individuals to join our mission.

What You’ll Do

• Perform statistical analysis on vast datasets to identify actionable insights
• Develop predictive models and analytical frameworks based on observed patterns
• Create and maintain clustering, NLP, and outlier detection algorithms for healthcare pricing data
• Define and implement data architectures and delivery processes for scalability and growth
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to the development of data science and engineering best practices

What We Expect

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare data science and analytics
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization tools
• Ability to handle large-scale datasets and distributed computing platforms
• A track record of solving complex problems creatively and precisely
• Strong communication skills to present data-driven narratives to various stakeholders
• The ability to work independently and manage high-impact tasks in a small team environment
• A high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for improving healthcare affordability and transparency

What We'd Love to See (Bonus)

• Experience with electronic medical records, medical claims, and healthcare billing/coding/pricing data
• Previous experience in startups or small teams
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS data science and ML stack
• Experience interacting directly with customers
