Senior Data Scientist
About the role
Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Analytics team supporting the Viewer Product team. The role involves analyzing structured and unstructured data, developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, and collaborating with stakeholders to align data science initiatives with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured data and communicate insights to help stakeholders solve business problems, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Advise on key product development strategy decisions to drive the Home screen and discovery products
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor key metrics for operational and systems health
- Create and maintain data pipelines to power automation, validation, and reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data science initiatives with organizational goals and strategy
- Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate product changes and measure impact
- Perform exploratory data analysis on emerging trends and execute advanced analysis across the Roku platform
- Provide data-driven recommendations directly to leadership on performance of various initiatives and untapped opportunities
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- 4+ years of experience in product analytics, with preference for experience supporting platforms in the media and entertainment space
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other programming languages for querying data and performing analysis
- Demonstrated ability to influence quantitatively meaningful business outcomes
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
- Experience with A/B testing, statistical modeling, or forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in resolving issues and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Experience using AI and Large Language Models to enhance productivity and analytical workflows

Pay
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $169,900 - $190,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
Schedule
Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment where teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays are generally flexible for remote work, except for employees whose specific roles or assigned office location require five days' a week attendance.
