Skill Set

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science and 6 or more years of professional experience or can convincingly demonstrate this level of skill.
  • Expertise with statistical computer languages including R and Python.
  • Expertise with relational database systems (SQL), object-based data stores and distributed data stores.
  • Advanced applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Production grade experience in designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models at enterprise scale.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Drive to learn new technologies, statistical methods, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong experience in telecommunications and financial service domains.

Preferred

  • PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team of data scientists and/or engineers.
  • Experience with distributed data systems such as Apache Hadoop or Apache Spark.
  • Expertise in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux and version control software (git).
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development practices.

Responsibilities

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Designing and overseeing the development of machine learning models and advanced analytical solutions.
  • Working closely with clients and management teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Supporting the development of technical, training, and business-related documentation.
  • Leading analytic practices, design, and development cycles.
  • Working with cross-functional team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas
  • Supervising the development of new solutions that will become part of the Open Insights DaaS products.
  • Generating and presenting reports and analysis of model quality.
  • Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Collaborating with teammates across the product development organization.
  • Leading the design of solution architecture and relevant software development efforts.
  • Applying knowledge of computer science and artificial intelligence on large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets.
  • Engaging with clients to draft Statements of Work, assessment sheets and leading deep dive sessions.
