Senior Data Scientist
Responsibilities
- Explore, train, test, and deploy ML and AI models, within the model risk standards required by the banking industry, including model bias, disparate impact, AI guardrails, privacy controls, and ongoing monitoring.
- Own end-to-end model validation including sample adequacy, out-of-time testing, and reproducibility checks before sign-off.
- Extend, and deploy our Reinforcement Learning-based marketing optimization capabilities while following our quality standards for model deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with business partners to translate business context into technical solutions embedded in our SaaS products at large scale.
- Proactively explore available data to size and project opportunities to improve our products, services or client and consumer experience.
Qualifications
You have 5+ years’ experience and a demonstrable track record of delivering applied machine learning, AI, data science capabilities in consumer-facing and/or enterprise applications.
You have independently prototyped, optimized, validated, managed, operated and updated machine learning and statistical models in large scale SaaS applications.
You can demonstrate knowledge of statistical inference, experiment design, probability, sampling methodologies, regression, classification, clustering, data mining, time series analysis, causal inference analysis, deep learning, AI techniques.
You have a strong working knowledge of Python-based machine learning and AI frameworks and the data and computation management mechanisms that surround them in a cloud setting.
You have familiarity with software engineering practices: Git branching strategies, code review, CI/CD pipelines.
You have demonstrated experience in Databricks (highly preferred) or other cloud platform.
You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that let you easily adapt to the context of your audience, from deep science to business decision-makers.
You can quickly pivot and act with agility as dictated by the needs of the business.
You hold an advanced degree or equivalent career experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related technical discipline.
Pay
Salary Range: 110,000-124,000 USD (plus Bonus)
