About the role
This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA efforts across software and data engineering initiatives
- Define testing strategies, quality standards, and best practices
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites
- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data warehouse solutions
- Develop automated data quality checks and reconciliation processes
- Perform end-to-end testing of APIs, applications, and data products
- Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify defects, anomalies, and data quality issues
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure adequate test coverage and quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities
- Participate in release validation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies
- Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Data Quality Engineering, or Software Testing
- Strong experience with SQL, database testing, and data validation
- Experience testing ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and cloud data platforms
- Experience with SQL and relational databases; experience with Snowflake and MySQL is preferred
- Experience with dbt is highly preferred
- Experience with data quality/observability tools like Monte Carlo, Sifflet
- Strong programming skills in Python and test automation frameworks
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger
- Experience building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
- Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools such as Copilot and Augment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading QA initiatives and driving quality best practices
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $134,000–$156,000 + bonus & equity.
