About the role
Pearl is shaping the future of dentistry with a suite of AI solutions designed to enhance the quality and consistency of dental care globally. Since 2019, our team has developed FDA-cleared computer vision capabilities for interpreting 2D and 3D dental imagery, tools that clinicians, practice owners, labs, and insurers rely on to streamline their practices.
Responsibilities
- Analyze incoming vendor data across all integrated domains to identify omissions, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies.
- Build automated data quality monitoring and alerting systems to catch problems before they affect customers.
- Measure and improve the precision and recall of our recommendations by quantifying the impact of data issues and tracking improvements.
- Own vendor data quality relationships by working directly with data providers through structured reporting, regular syncs, and formal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Proactively detect and correct stale or broken data connections, reducing manual overhead.
- Write application code to validate, transform, and reconcile incoming data, including both query-based and programmatic detection and correction systems.
- Communicate findings to engineering, product, and leadership teams, translating data problems into actionable insights that drive product prioritization.
Requirements
- Senior-level engineering skills, capable of building production systems.
- Proficiency in Node.js, with TypeScript experience preferred.
- Strong SQL skills, comfortable living in PostgreSQL and Snowflake for large dataset exploration.
- A product mindset, thinking about data quality in terms of its impact on user experience.
- Self-directed problem-finder, proactive in identifying and proposing fixes.
- Comfortable owning vendor relationships, able to communicate findings and push for fixes.
- Agentic software developer, using tools like Cursor and Claude Code to increase productivity.
Qualifications
- Healthcare or insurance domain knowledge is a plus, but not required. A willingness to learn quickly is essential.
- Enthusiasm for agentic software development and the tools used to enhance productivity.
