About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Data Scientist & Enablement Analyst to join team Nyla in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is ideal for a Data Scientist who possesses strong foundational analyst skills and operational experience. You will drive big data aggregation, access discovery, and technical enablement while building automated analytics and metrics tracking tools to power mission operations.

The annual base salary range for this role is $124,000-$146,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Responsibilities

• Big data aggregation and access discovery
• Building automated analytics and metrics tracking tools for operational use
• Python scripting for operational automation
• Development of structured Jupyter Notebooks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management, plus 7+ years of professional systems engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity
• OR High School Diploma / GED, plus 11+ years of hands-on technical systems engineering and architecture experience in lieu of a degree

Skills

Required

• Strong proficiency in Big Data aggregation and Pandas DataFrame manipulation
• Hands-on experience navigating and querying within XKS and DX environments
• Practical experience with NESCAA TFO and target access discovery/enablement methodologies
• High proficiency in Python scripting for operational automation
• Expertise in building structured Jupyter Notebooks
• Continuous operational metrics tracking

Desired

• PySpark proficiency for distributed big data processing and analysis
• Prior Computer Network Operations (CNO) experience and Signals Development (SIGDEV) background
• Familiarity with C++ development
• Mobile application characterization and traffic analysis

Pay
