Senior Data Engineer, PV Prime Video TV-Tech

Key job responsibilities

• Solve big data warehousing problems on a massive scale
• Apply cloud-based AWS services to solve challenging problems around: big data processing, data warehouse design, and self-service data access
• Work closely with the business and technical teams on many non-standard and unique business problems
• Use creative problem solving to deliver actionable output
• Develop systems and tools to process data, using efficient technologies that can scale to seasonal spikes
• Work in a dynamic environment where innovating on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do

About the team

The team is primarily based in Seattle with additional presence in New York and London. A data-driven organization focused on Prime Video's growth and commerce analytics, with strong representation in business intelligence, data engineering, and product management functions supporting Prime Video's commercial and analytical needs.

Cross-functional team building intelligent systems that integrate content and data to deliver personalized customer experiences across streaming, live events, and emerging formats.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience operating large data warehouses
