Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure high performance and reliability
• Develop and maintain robust data infrastructure to support real-time analytics and machine learning models
• Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity across all systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering
• Experience with Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality data engineering projects
• Experience with data modeling and database design
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

• Proficient in Scala, Java, and/or C++
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

$80,000 - $100,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
