Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

• Lead and mentor data engineering tech leads across multiple build teams utilizing a leading cloud data platform.
• Guide teams through the full software development lifecycle, including design, build, test, and run phases.
• Define best practices, establish common code frameworks, and elevate engineering maturity.
• Oversee the implementation of advanced data solutions to replace legacy platforms and drive improved business outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional partners in security, cloud, and data modeling.
• Drive Spark performance optimization and lead platform cost optimization initiatives.

What You'll Need

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and related data technologies.
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead role, including leading developers and task decomposition.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to proactively engage with business leaders to recommend strategic data solutions.
• Solid grounding in general analytics, data warehousing, and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks, including writing high-quality user stories.
