About the Role

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive data modernization initiatives, assess legacy Informatica workflows, and lead the development of scalable Python-based ETL solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess complex Informatica workflows and data processing frameworks
• Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices
• Lead migration efforts from legacy ETL platforms to modern Python-based solutions
• Develop and optimize batch processing solutions using Java Spring Batch
• Perform data profiling, impact assessments, and workflow optimization
• Leverage Generative AI and Copilot capabilities to accelerate workflow analysis and modernization activities
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and application teams to ensure successful delivery
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

Requirements

• 6-9 years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Informatica, Python, ETL, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Batch
• Experience with AWS-based data solutions
• Strong understanding of data integration, workflow orchestration, and batch processing
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• Financial Services domain experience
• Experience on large-scale data migration and modernization programs

Pay

The base salary range for this role in Smithfield, RI is $80,420 to $106,050 per year. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation, bonuses, or commissions. Full-time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.
