About the role
The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) enables the DMHC to deliver essential services to the State of California through the use of information technology (IT). OTI develops, maintains and supports multiple IT systems that include a vast variety of office automation tools, custom applications, public and internal web sites, low-code business intelligence tools, low-code application development tools, data analytics and the underlying IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support IT systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new IT solutions.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Participate in project planning and execution, including stakeholder communication and coordination.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT systems development and maintenance.
- Experience with data management and analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Qualifications
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms.
- Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.
- Experience with data integration and data migration processes.
Skills
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

$8,625.00 - $11,557.00 per month.
