Senior Data Engineer

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking a senior-level Data Engineer to support large-scale data ingestion and data warehousing initiatives within the Hadoop ecosystem. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role where execution is the priority.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for high-volume data environments.
• Move and process large-scale datasets, often involving 50-100+ million records, across enterprise platforms.
• Utilize PySpark, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL for data engineering tasks.
• Develop reusable frameworks and solutions to improve efficiency.
• Ensure strong documentation and communication for all projects.
• Engage in proactive problem-solving to address data challenges.

Requirements

• Proficiency in building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Experience within Hadoop environments.
• Strong coding skills in PySpark, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale datasets and working in high-volume data environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within a large financial institution's Hadoop environment.
