Senior Data Analyst - Loan Boarding

About the Role

As the Sr Data Analyst of Loan Boarding, you will ensure all daily boarding tasks are completed accurately and timely. You will identify opportunities to streamline departmental processes, update loan boarding policies and procedures as needed, and assume the role of team leader when required. This includes training policies and procedures to the Loan Boarding team and new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop best practices.
  • Update departmental procedures and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) in a timely manner.
  • Act as team lead as needed, including training teammates and new team members.
  • Perform weekly audits of the loan boarding process to ensure audit compliance.
  • Serve as backup for the AVP of Loan Boarding for daily boarding processes and tasks.
  • Review and analyze boarding tape needs for potential new flow sellers.
  • Facilitate mapping calls with new flow sellers/clients.
  • Manage milestone timelines of all new mapping projects.
  • Support the mapping of new flow/bulk projects as needed.
  • Support daily boarding tasks as needed.
  • Perform QA controls to ensure the basic loan process is followed and documented accurately.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all Loan Boarding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 4-5 years of related mortgage servicing experience.
  • At least 3-4 years of related Loan Boarding experience.
  • Keen analytic skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience and confidence in communicating with external parties and management.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong time management skills working autonomously.
  • Strong skills in various ETL languages (e.g., SQL or VBA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with external clients and internal business partners.

Qualifications (Desired)

  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience with MSP.
