Senior Data Analyst II - LHB
Job Summary
This strategic business position is responsible for designing, creating and delivering critical plan performance trend analytics, reports, and insights to clients. The role provides a consultative experience to our employer clients that delivers on our promise of bending the medical cost trend. The position develops insights for clients in a meaningful way that assists them in problem solving, solution development, decision making and strategic planning around their benefits program.
Responsibilities
- Develops insights for clients in a meaningful way that assists them in problem solving, solution development, decision making and strategic planning around their benefits program
- Collaborates with Client Management on recommendations and next steps based on trend data, client objectives and Luminare Health offering
- Provides analytics support for client, prospect and internal special projects—developing and understanding the relevant data, displaying it clearly and presenting the findings
- Works with our Data Analytics owner and other relevant support partners to identify and implement needed tools, processes and capabilities
- Partners with Client Management, Data Analytics and Reporting, Healthcare Management, Sales Executives, Product Management, Marketing, Reporting and Business Analysts, IT and other disciplines as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics or an analytically oriented healthcare field
- 5 years of experience in data management and analytics, healthcare and/or insurance experience with payer, provider, PBM or analytics vendor preferred
- Proficiency with commonly used database, spreadsheet and word processing software [MS Office, Excel and Word]
- Proficiency in using Business Intelligence tools and Healthcare Analytics platforms [Cedar Gate, Truven, Cotiviti]
- Experience serving strategic clients in a developing market segment
- Proven ability to build relationships with multiple individuals and functions and quickly establish credibility
- Superior written, verbal, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills for multiple audience types including the ability to interact with large strategic clients and prospects, including broker partners
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as a high degree of creativity, flexibility and self-direction
- Resourceful in the ability to identify and obtain new sources of information
- Able to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage projects in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Must be able to travel approximately 20% of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree, Master’s Business Administration is preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare, benefits, insurance industry, and managed care delivery system
- Passion for excellence and desire to help differentiate itself in the market
- Capability and interest to grow into larger, more strategic leadership role over time
- Knowledge of evolving analytics and report development technology through business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI
Benefits
The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan. Min To Max Range $67,600.00 - $127,000.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
