About the role
The RDA II performs complex research and statistical work to assist with the implementation of the stop data collection requirements pursuant to the Racial and Identity Profiling Act of 2015 (Assembly Bill [AB] 953).
Responsibilities
- Identify necessary data for the project
- Summarize the data using appropriate statistical techniques
- Present the information orally and/or in writing
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary project team
- Develop methodologies and assumptions
- Use a variety of analytical techniques to provide necessary projections and consultation
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, and at least two years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience with statistical software packages such as SPSS, SAS, or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
