Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide short-term psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Lead treatment, support, and psychoeducational groups
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and model best practices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve client outcomes
  • Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations
  • Refer clients to appropriate services and community resources
  • Participate in clinical meetings and case presentations
  • Support program development and community-based initiatives
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and training to interns and clinicians
  • Coordinate internship opportunities with post-secondary institutions
  • Participate in staff development and training activities

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Vermont as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or a similar mental health professional
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings, preferably with a focus on children, youth, and families
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care
