About the role
The Senior Cyber Security Analyst position is available in Aurora, CO and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities.
- Characterize and perform analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resources.
- Perform security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise.
- Execute cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact while identifying specific vulnerabilities.
- Track and document cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution and remediation.
- Analyze and assess damage to data and infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents and perform trend analysis.
- Operate in a 24x7 Shift Work environment to ensure complete and functioning systems meet all requirements.
Requirements
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.
- A bachelor's degree or 4+ years of IT and/or cyber experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Security or related cyber fields.
- Possession of an active IAT Level II certification such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems and understanding of database security.
- Experience with COTS technologies and current Cybersecurity protocols used in CSOC environments.
- Experience working across teams to drive a security agenda and manage complex, intertwined systems.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and coordinating resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior management.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities with a focus on evaluating priorities and determining best solutions.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively while adapting to shifting project priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
