Responsibilities
- Providing detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities.
- Characterizing and performing analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resources.
- Performing security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise.
- Executing cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact while identifying specific vulnerabilities.
- Tracking and documenting cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution and remediation.
- Analyzing and assessing damage to data and infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents and performing trend analysis.
- Operating in a 24x7 Shift Work environment to ensure complete and functioning systems meet all requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional IT and/or cyber experience in lieu of 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Security or related cyber.
- Possession of an active IAT Level II certification such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems and understanding of databases.
- Experience with COTS technologies and current Cybersecurity protocols used in CSOC.
- Experience working across teams to drive a security agenda and manage complex, intertwined projects.
