Senior Customer Applications Engineer

About The Role Grayson's North American business is growing, and it is looking for a Senior Customer Applications Engineer to become its senior technical presence across the region. You will be the technical link between North American customers, the local commercial team, and Grayson's UK engineering, quality, manufacturing and customer service teams. Key Responsibilities Deliver technical presentations on Grayson's products, system performance and proposed solutionsBuild strong relationships with existing and prospective customers as a trusted technical adviserCapture and document customer requirements for new projects and applicationsWork with Design and Engineering teams to develop concepts and bespoke technical solutions for customer approvalOwn and coordinate the North America customer applications engineering functionAct as the senior technical escalation point and prioritise technical activity across the regionSupport customer installations and commissioningProvide on-site and remote support for first system installs and customer start-upsSupport system performance testing against customer requirements and agreed specifications Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience as an Applications Engineer, Customer Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager or similar customer-facing engineering roleStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience preparing technical proposals, specifications and customer presentationsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationStrong project coordination and organisational skillsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeValid US driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively Desirable Experience Manufacturing, automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, rail, HVAC, industrial systems or engineered-product environmentsVehicle thermal management, HVAC, battery cooling or electrificationProduct testing, validation, installation or commissioningQuality tools such as PDCA, 8D, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
