Senior Custodian, MC- Environmental Services Orange- FT Multiple Shifts Available

About the role

The Senior Custodian reports to the EVS Manager and performs skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and/or general maintenance duties in acute and non-acute in-patient, outpatient, and non-patient areas. Duties include caring for supplies and equipment, performing resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks such as stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing. Additional housekeeping duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance duties in various areas of UCI Health facilities.
• Care for supplies and equipment used in cleaning tasks.
• Perform resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks such as stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing.
• Perform other related housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a service industry position.
• Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to work in various locations, as well as rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
