About the Museum
Qantas Founders Museum is a world-class museum located in Longreach, Queensland and is home to the oldest civil aviation building in Australia. The museum is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the history and telling the story of Australia’s National Icon. We connect with the public through experiences, education, collections, and displays. Characters of the early Qantas days, their pioneering spirit, and the impact the airline had for all Australians are brought to life through life-size exhibits, historical artifacts, and interactive displays, including the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar.
