About the role
The Crisis and Risk Management team is dedicated to ensuring crisis management, risk assessment, and mitigation activities across Volvo Group suppliers in North America. The Senior Supplier Crisis & Risk Leader / Task Force Leader is responsible for managing supplier delivery crises, providing supply chain expertise, and coordinating with different stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate delivery crises management and provide supply chain expertise to solve crises
- Interact with purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, and engineering teams to minimize impacts to Volvo plants
- Identify root causes of crises through deep dive and problem solving
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve manufacturing processes
- Coordinate communication during crises situations
- Monitor and act on risk suppliers to prevent crises at operations
- Contribute to the development and way of working within the team
- Serve as a key partner of Purchasing Operations groups regarding supply chain issues
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
- 6+ years of Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Supply Chain experience
- Experience from the automotive industry is preferred, but not required
- Supply chain development and crisis management skills
