Job Description

The Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer will join Intel's All Cores Engineering organization, specifically the Atom group, which focuses on high-efficiency CPU cores. This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring the architectural correctness and functional robustness of Intel's Atom CPU designs prior to silicon production. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance design quality and verification effectiveness while influencing architecture decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in design verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Experience in pre-silicon verification of CPU, SoC, or complex IP designs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM environments.
  • Define, run, and analyze system-level simulations to identify functional and performance issues.
  • Debug and root-cause complex RTL, microarchitecture, and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, and other teams to improve design quality.
  • Provide early verification feedback to influence architecture and microarchitecture definitions.
  • Maintain and enhance verification infrastructure, methodologies, and automation.
  • Document verification strategies, results, and findings while leading technical discussions.
