About the role

Clyde & Co US LLP seeks senior attorneys with 10+ years of experience to join our growing litigation defense practice in Seattle. This practice covers a wide range of liability and insurance challenges in matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking/transportation claims and employment and property disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required.
  • Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
  • Draft discovery requests and responses.
  • Review and analyze documents and materials for production.
  • Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies.
  • Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds.
  • Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in Washington State.
  • Civil litigation experience.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Admitted to practice in Washington State.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $235,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
