Senior Counsel, Litigation

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel, Litigation to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will serve as a key legal partner in managing the organization’s litigation portfolio and advising executive leadership on risk, strategy, and resolution options. The attorney will lead complex matters across multiple litigation areas while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to support sound business outcomes. This is a highly visible position that requires strong judgment, practical problem-solving, and the ability to balance legal exposure with organizational priorities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead attorney for litigation matters
• Develop litigation strategy with executive leadership
• Evaluate claims and recommend resolution strategies
• Manage mediations, arbitrations, and settlements
• Oversee employment, commercial, liability, regulatory, and class action matters
• Select and supervise outside counsel
• Monitor litigation budgets and legal spending

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school required
• 10 years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• 5 years of healthcare litigation experience
• Significant experience managing complex civil litigation
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Pay

Compensation: $175,420 – $263,100 annually
