Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate legal documents related to LIHTC transactions
- Collaborate with outside tax counsel for legal opinions and advice
- Oversee legal due diligence for transactions, ensuring thoroughness and compliance
- Facilitate closings of LIHTC transactions to finalize deals efficiently
- Manage post-closing legal matters, addressing any arising legal issues during asset management
- Structure new tax credit funds for syndication and manage transaction admissions
- Respond to inquiries from investor counsel to maintain clear communication
Qualifications
- JD degree required
- State bar admission
- 4+ years of legal experience, with a focus on LIHTC and commercial mortgage loans preferred
- Expertise in LIHTC equity and related real estate transactions is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a heavy workload effectively
