Senior Counsel (Director)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor for marketing, sales, and consumer-facing initiatives across North America and international markets
• Manage a team of direct reports and help foster a collaborative working environment
• Support e-commerce, social media, influencer marketing, and emerging AI-driven customer engagement initiatives
• Strategize with senior business leaders to identify risks and develop practical, business-focused solutions
• Play a lead role in negotiating and drafting high-value transactions with external partners
• Advise on consumer protection laws, FTC regulations, advertising compliance, promotions, loyalty programs, and digital marketing
• Draft and oversee customer-facing terms, policies, and disclosures
• Provide strategic guidance on new products, campaigns, and customer programs

Qualifications

• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership
• 7+ years of legal experience supporting marketing, advertising, sales, or consumer-facing business functions
• Significant in-house experience with a large consumer brand
• Strong background in consumer protection, advertising, privacy, and digital marketing law
• Prior experience within travel, hospitality, entertainment, media, retail, or other consumer-focused industries is highly preferred
