Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities by studying drawings and specification sheets.
• Prepare and present order of cost estimates and produce cost plans.
• Valuate construction works and produce interim and final payment recommendations.
• Value changes and variations in construction projects.
• Ensure all costs and quantity records are streamlined and maintained in order.
• Deliver high-quality cost management services that meet customer requirements and business procedures.
• Assemble contract documentation.
• Advise on and implement procurement strategies, risk management, and cost-saving measures.
• Produce and present reports to clients.
• Lead, mentor, and contribute to the training of the Cost Management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 5-7 years of post-graduate experience in quantity surveying, construction methods, and materials.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and logical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Creative thinking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in cost estimating and cost planning techniques.
• Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to relocate and work at the North Coast project site is preferred.
