Senior Cost Analyst

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization in the Andover, MA area to search for a Senior Cost Analyst. This hybrid role will play a key role across cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, inventory, and operational analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product costs, including direct labor, materials, overhead, and manufacturing variances
• Manage and analyze inventory valuation, ensuring accuracy of inventory-related financial reporting
• Prepare cost and operational reporting and provide analysis around key trends and variances
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
• Monitor actual results against budget/forecast and investigate significant variances
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and other departments on cost analysis and financial initiatives
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improvements to manufacturing-related financial processes
• Support month-end financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with internal and external audits and maintain appropriate internal controls
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across cost accounting, reporting, and financial processes
• Provide guidance and review support to junior team members as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior cost accounting / cost analysis experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and manufacturing accounting principles
• Experience with inventory accounting, product costing, overhead, and variance analysis
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Prior internal and external audit exposure
• Experience with Syteline strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional business partnership skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$90,000–$120,000 base salary plus bonus
