Job Summary

The Sr. Cost Analyst will perform detailed, comprehensive analysis of healthcare supply chain spend. Develops, revises and effectively communicates analytical summaries to identify cost savings opportunities, contract compliance, price parity issues, standardization and utilization opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Work collaboratively with HealthTrust team and assigned member(s) to provide analysis, summaries, reports and presentations as assigned.
  • Lead complex and/or large-scale analytics projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, develops training materials, and provides training for applicable systems and processes.
  • Develop and design new and innovative tools to improve analytics processes or visualization and output of data.
  • Complete analysis and reporting per end-user’s specific needs.
  • Serve as point of contact for analytics requests and have regular discussions with requestor to ensure results are completed according to needs.
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information.
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.
  • Collaborates and communicates with HealthTrust account and embedded resource team to support and track data and key performance indicators for member account plan.
  • Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and other documentation for customers and HealthTrust team.
  • Proactively define and implement efficiencies related to the use of data and reports.
  • Provide document and project management support for meetings as needed.
  • Maintain team SharePoint Site.
  • Participate in departmental project activities or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Technology or related field.
  • Required. Work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-7 years related work experience as a data, business or financial analyst.
  • Medical product knowledge (Preferred).
  • Experience with large data sets (Preferred).
  • Healthcare supply chain/GPO knowledge (Preferred).
  • Healthcare purchasing or analytics experience (Preferred).
