Senior Cost Accoutnant

We're looking for a Senior Cost Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys connecting the numbers to the bigger picture. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate project accounting, maintain inventory integrity, support revenue recognition, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes.

What You'll Do

• Lead project accounting activities, including revenue and cost recognition
• Maintain inventory accounting and cost of sales reporting
• Support forecasting efforts through Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews
• Analyze customer contracts and apply ASC 606 accounting guidance
• Create and maintain project structures and charge codes within the ERP system
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Develop and document accounting procedures to support compliance and internal controls
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Champion process improvements that increase efficiency and reporting accuracy

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Strong ERP experience and proficiency with Excel
• Background in project accounting, inventory accounting, or revenue recognition
• Experience supporting operational teams with financial analysis and decision-making
• Excellent analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
